Anderson-Tully Lumber Company is named Large Business of the Quarter by the Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 1889 as a manufacturer of vegetable crates, the company that would later become Anderson-Tully Lumber Company soon moved from its Benton Harbor, Mich. base to Vicksburg, Mississippi. Known worldwide for the quality of its hardwood products, Anderson-Tully is also known for the quality of its people. Over the past several years, ATCO has invested approximately $8 million in upgrading its mill facility on Washington Street. The improvements include the state-of-the-art computer technology at every level of lumber production, which will improve the Mill's yields as well as increase its lumber capacity by 30 percent.
