Diane Gawronski

2006 Chamber of Commerce President

Diane Gawronski is employed as director of marketing and public relations for River Region Health System. She currently serves as president of the board of directors for the Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce.

In 2005 she served as the vice-president of the Chamber's Governmental Services Division and the Public Transportation Committee. She previously served on the Chamber's Retirement Development Committee where she was honored as the 2002 Retirement Development Champion. Diane is the co-founder and was the first president of the Vicksburg Association of Marketing Professionals; she now serves on their board of directors and chairs the nominating committee. She is married to Lawrence Gawronski.

Displaced Services

  • Fema Financial Assistance - Pre-register by calling 1-800-621-3362. A temporary office will be set up in the area on September 19 (location to be announced) where you can also register. Local Area Residents will have a later registration date.

  • Internet access for the displaced - The Vicksburg Senior Center, The Vicksburg Convention Center (if housed there) the Vicksburg Hospitality Room (downtown) The offices of Canufly.net at 1529 Walnut Street, MSU Extension Service 1100-C Grove Street and the Vicksburg Public Library
  • Senior Centers - People of retirement age are also welcome to visit the local Senior Center, if your location has seniors that will benefit from some time away from the shelter you can contact Jennifer Harper at the Vicksburg Senior Center. 601-630-8059
Housing for the Displaced - Permanent and Temporary
  • Temporary Shelters - First Baptist Church (601)631-6908, Bowmar Baptist Church (601) 636-2596 and The Vicksburg Convention Center (601) 630-2929. You can also contact the Red Cross for other Temporary locations with 14 day housing 601-636-8203.
  • Mobile Home Placement - Magnolia Estates currently has 30 mobile home pads available (pads only) Located at 1333 Hwy 61 South - 601-631-0327.
  • Long Term Housing - The Realtors Association has compiled a complete list of lease and purchase housing for the area. There is a listing at: http://www.hurricanehousing.net or http://www.vicksburgrealtors.com
    The list will be frequently updated. - Locations to access the internet for those currently displaced are..... The Vicksburg Senior Center, The Vicksburg Convention Center (if housed there) the Vicksburg Hospitality Room (downtown) and the Vicksburg Public Library.
